  • Treatment/Storage Facility
The proposed treatment and storage facility consists of a building housing all appurtenant equipment needed to reduce the raw water contaminant levels below the required secondary maximum contaminant levels (SMCL), and a 20,000 gallon storage tank. The storage tank is located approximately 30 feet from the proposed raw water well, and accessed by an all-weather road that exits onto Mountain Cove Drive. All water mains maintain minimum separation from all structures as required by VDH regulations, and consists of approved water main material. Computer modeling was performed to demonstrate that each connection receives a minimum of 0.5 gallons/minute at a minimum pressure of 20 pounds per square inch.
